Cтуденческая конференция в Канаде

The deadline for registration and abstract submission to Photonics ToolkiT is approaching. Photonics ToolkiT will be held on March 5-8, 2009 in Quebec City. The deadline for sending an abstract for a 15-minute presentation about your institution or a poster about your research has been extended to January 30th, 2009.

This event, organized by the OSA and SPIE student chapters of Quebec and Montreal (Canada), aims to enable students in the field of optics and photonics with a complete set of tools for their graduate studies and future research. Photonics ToolkiT includes extensive networking with representatives of optics companies and optics research institutions from around the world, plus providing a chance for students from various universities to meet and exchange ideas with each other, through oral presentations and poster session. In addition to this fantastic opportunity, various tutorials will be held on topics that are vital to any student in optics.

With the support of SPIE, participants who are SPIE student members, and SPIE student chapters, will have the opportunity to earn travel grants of $500 CDN. Criteria for this grant include the distance of the applicants’ institution from Quebec City and the number of student members from the chapter attending Photonics ToolkiT. Each applicant must complete the form attached to this email and send it by e-mail to repol@phy.ulaval.ca
